Vescom’s textile wallcovering celebrates crafted materials, showcasing different looks and feels through various approaches to woven wallcoverings. Tapping into our extensive knowledge of fabric construction, we’ve responded to the unique inherent properties of each material – recycled wool, (recycled) polyester, linen, silk, wood pulp and polyethylene.

While the materials vary, the collection shares a celebration of organic and handcrafted materials, like the visible weave of linen or the slub in silk. Vescom’s mohair velvet upholstery, made from the hair of well-cared-for Angora goats, is a testament to the beauty of nature. This exclusive high-end fabric is sourced from a rare resource found only in select parts of the world. Naturally strong yet luxuriously soft, the Cradle to Cradle® Bronze certified fabric is long-lasting and easy to maintain.

Mohair velvet: natural luxury

Mohair velvet upholstery has sound-absorbing properties, a quality confirmed by the successful use of Vescom mohair velvets in theatres and concert halls all over the globe. Its subtle lustre is inherent to the material itself – no additional finishes are necessary – aligning with luxury’s shift from glitz and glamour towards natural comfort.

Known for the unparalleled softness and cosy, homely feel of its chenille yarn, Fuga is now crafted locally in Vescom’s German weaving mill from 79% recycled polyester FR yarn made from locally sourced post-consumer PET bottles.

The durable fabric continues to offer the comfort and warmth that made it a success while aligning with our commitment to continuously increase the proportion of recycled content in our materials, one of the steps we’re taking to reduce our environmental impact.

The <a target="_blank" href="/en/products/fuga">refreshed Fuga</a> features a wider, more vibrant colour palette, with 39 two-tone blends that add depth and character to any space. Reflecting Vescom’s expertise in combining colours, surprising tones come together in each fabric. Pink mingles with green, gold interplays with purple – these fresh and sometimes bold shades add a bright and relaxed touch to interiors, making them ideal for everything from hotels to workplaces.

Interior contract materials can contribute profoundly to our comfort, warmth and inspiration – our feelings of wellbeing. But how can they contribute to the wellbeing of the planet?

As makers of materials in today’s challenged world, we’ve undertaken the responsibility to produce in the most conscious way we can. Having our own production facilities gives us the agency to not only scrutinise everything from our raw materials to our manufacturing methods with a focus on sustainability and wellbeing, but to actually develop, make and distribute eco-conscious interior materials.

Producing materials inevitably generates waste. Mirroring Vescom’s approach to materials – letting their individual, innate qualities and properties lead their design – and continuing our longstanding practice of addressing our own waste through reuse, we’ve developed different innovative strategies for dealing with waste that befit each of our materials.

Our focus on high performance and our consistent material-driven DNA have always produced connections between our different product groups – materials, colours and textures recur across Vescom’s wallcovering, upholstery and curtain fabrics. Sustainable Materialogy

In today’s busy world, the right materials can transform interiors of any kind into quiet, comfortable and healthy spaces that both feel good and do good. There’s a growing need for alternative interior materials that take a bold step forward in sustainability and durability.

Vescom Purefin is an environmentally friendly wallcovering with the proven performance and durability benefits of hardwearing materials. The olefin-based wallcovering is free of PVC, plasticisers, chlorine, heavy metals, formaldehyde, halogenated fire retardants and phthalates. Produced in the Netherlands in line with Vescom’s holistic approach to sustainability and wellbeing, Vescom Purefin has a reduced carbon footprint, better environmental impact and leads to improved indoor air quality due to its low VOC levels, promoting healthier environments.

An innovation in sustainable embossed wallcovering, Vescom’s olefin-based wallcovering leads to improved air quality.

This unique material asked for a unique identity. Vescom Purefin wallcovering comes in two embossed designs that have a distinctive natural, chalky, matte look. ‘Undesigned’, not over-designed, <a target="_blank" href="/en/products/concreed">Concreed</a> and <a target="_blank" href="/en/products/lynn">Lynn</a> have an artisanal, hand-crafted appearance. Concreed is rough and rugged yet achieves a peaceful ambience in interiors, while linen-like Lynn is inspired by traditional plant-based weaving materials.
