Flexible fabrics for flexible spaces

With the launch of two new recycled upholstery fabrics, Vescom offers the ultimate in mix-and-match flexibility while continuing its innovative reuse of waste. In line with the ethos behind our Sustainable Materialogy story – making materials with a common ground for a common good – Colour Connect and Zenith are produced locally in Vescom’s German weaving mill from 100% recycled polyester FR yarn made from locally sourced post-consumer PET bottles.

Graphic, sporty additions to Vescom’s upholstery collection, they open up the possibilities for playful encounters of colour and texture – both between the two fabrics and in combination with other materials. Whatever you choose to put together, it works. This versatility makes the cost-effective yarn-dyed fabrics perfect for a variety of applications – from furniture to panelling – giving them a long life. Their flexibility makes them ideal for today’s definition of ‘workspace’ – the many places we work, from offices and co-working spaces to hotels, restaurants and homes.

Colour Connect is the cornerstone of Vescom’s assortment of 100% post-consumer recycled content upholstery – the material solution that links everything together. What may appear from afar to be a plain fabric has a surprising depth, thanks to the fact that it’s a woven yarn-dyed fabric with different tones in the background. Whether through their accent or main colour, the 43 vibrant colourways of Colour Connect not only become companions to Zenith but also harmonise with our other upholstery fabrics, making the material a versatile base for any upholstery scheme. A simple fabric with a dry, matte look and feel that gains more meaning through its connectability.

Zenith: unexpected upholstery accents

Dynamic and playful, Zenith links to Colour Connect in both tone and personality. Inspired by a sky full of twinkling sparkling stars, the 100% recycled fabric brings a lively and fresh energy to spaces. Featuring a subtle ribbed construction, it has a small all-over pattern that creates a graphic yet organic-feeling grid. Like strokes of coloured pencil on a sheet of paper after a doodling session, flecks of unexpected accents define Zenith’s 31 colourways – a hint of mint in cool purple, a pop of bright orange against sky blue. The random appearance of the accents makes the material more durable, helping to hide visible signs of use.
